Franklin Templeton has continued the expansion of its ETF business in France with the appointment of Guillaume Dambrine as a senior ETF sales specialist.

Based in Paris, Dambrine (pictured) will be responsible for growing the issuer’s UCITS ETF platform across the country and other Francophone regions in EMEA, which it launched in September last year.

He will report to Caroline Baron, head of ETF business development for EMEA at Franklin Templeton.

Dambrine joins with over two decades of experience in financial services and business development and has spent the last seven years as a business consultant.

Prior to this, he was a managing director for ETFs and listed derivatives at Castle Harbour Securities and was also ETF and equities sales for the Europe region at GFI Group, both of which he created the ETF brokerage platform.

He also held senior roles at Merrill Lynch, AXA investments and Euronext.

Commenting on the appointment, Baron said: “Guillaume will be instrumental in developing our franchise in the territory and further expanding Franklin Templeton’s business in the ETF space regionally.

“We introduced our ETF business to France in September 2021, and we have been very pleased with investors’ reception of our funds and increased interest in our ETF capabilities so far.”

The issuer’s EMEA team now has a six-strong sales team, with plans to expand it further over the next year.

The firm has also been expanding across the rest of Europe. In February, it appointed Silvia Anselmi as an ETF sales specialist to grow its LibertyShares platform in Italy.
