ETC Group has appointed Jan Altmann and Alan Boulhimez as investment strategy directors from JustETF and First Trust Global Advisors, respectively.
In their new roles, the pair will be responsible for providing insights and education for investors, specifically regarding the importance of structural features and liquidity profiles of exchange-traded digital assets.
Altmann has over 25 years of experience in financial services and crypto index funds and was most recently a senior ETF analyst at JustETF.
He started his career at Deutsche Boerse where he helped develop the ETF market in the late 1990s.
Boulhimez joins from First Trust where he was most recently head of internal sales and prior to this was a financial adviser at AXA. He also worked as a sales broker and investment broker at BNP Paribas Personal Investors.

ETC Group has been expanding its crypto offering this year, launching an avalanche, cosmos, polygon and crypto ETPs in March, followed by a ripple XRP ETP in April.
Last month, the firm become the first issuer to take action following ethereum’s proof-of-stake merge, launching a new ethereum ETP that will continue to rely on the digital asset’s proof-of-work consensus.
