Global X has appointed Ignatius Faissal as head of ETF product management for its European business.
Faissal joins from HANetf where he acted as director of product development for more than five years, where he helped to launch the firm’s exchange traded product (ETP) platform.
He joined the white-labeller as an ETF consultant in 2017.
Commenting on the appointment, Rob Oliver, head of Global X Europe, said: “Ignatius has a wealth of experience in the ETF industry with a proven track record of leading product management.”
“We are thrilled to welcome him on board and are confident that his expertise will play a pivotal role in driving our product management and continued innovation across Europe.”
The hire follows a series of senior leadership departures for Global X's US business over the past 12 months, with firm’s CIO and head of finance both set to leave their positions in February.
Global X’s CEO Luis Berruga and chief operating officer John Belanga also departed in November 2023.
Some three months later, Global X appointed Ryan O'Connor as chief executive after the departure of its previous full-time CEO Luis Berruga last November.
