Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) has appointed Simon Hutcheson as head of international ETF strategy and development from State Street Global Advisors (SSGA).

At SSGA, Hutcheson (pictured) was head of ETF product for EMEA and APAC for three years after entering the firm as senior ETF product developer in 2017.

Prior to this, he held various roles at Citi and Deutsche Bank, including vice president of fund structuring at Citi.

Hutecheson’s appointment follows the recent hire of Jessica Lana to GSAM’s ETF distribution team alongside Bryon Lake as global head of ETF solutions in May.

Elsewhere, GSAM announced in June its EMEA ETF head Peter Thompson is set to retire.

GSAM also broke its two-year ETF launch hiatus in February, unveiling a global green bond ETF.
