Hang Seng Indexes has expanded its range with the launch of a China A-Shares index.
The Hang Seng China A Innovative Enterprises index will track the performance of the 50 largest A-Share companies by market value listed on the ChiNext Board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
There are over 400 firms listed on ChiNext, which can be seen as the Nasdaq-equivalent board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

The top three sectors of the index are healthcare, industrial engineering and software and services, which together account for over 60% of the index’s weighting.
