Moneyfarm has partnered with BlackRock to offer equity and bond ETFs on its Italian brokerage platform, catering to the rising retail investor interest in ETFs.
The partnership will see over 100 BlackRock ETFs across all major core equity exposures made available on Conto Titoli – the firm’s securities account platform – including global equity products, alongside several thematic, factor and ESG ETFs.
Moneyfarm will also add the five-strong iBonds fixed maturity ETF range to its offerings, which provide exposure to investment-grade corporate bonds across various countries and sectors and US Treasuries.
The iBonds range, which launched in August 2023, are Europe’s first fixed maturity ETFs.
The firm added that full redemption of purchase costs for orders over €1,000 will be made available.
Fabio Zampaglione, chief commercial officer Moneyfarm, said: "We are thrilled to have reached this first milestone, which aims to meet the needs of an increasing number of investors by providing them with a wide range of tools for efficient allocation of their portfolios.”
Lorenzo Scarselli, head of Italy distribution at BlackRock, added: "The collaboration with Moneyfarm is in line with our goal of facilitating the democratisation of investments, responding progressively to the emergence of evolving needs and requirements.
“We are pleased with the step taken, which is part of a broader path aimed at facilitating market entry and participation of different profiles and types of investors through efficient instruments such as ETFs.”
Moneyfarm also said its Italian platform will expand to include ETFs from Amundi over the next few months.
BlackRock now joins Vanguard, AXA IM, Franklin Templeton, DWS, Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), which have all made recent pushes into the Italian retail market through partnerships with local trading platforms.
