Smart beta ETF specialist Ossiam has added to its partnership team on both the investment and the business development side.
Aous Labbane is currently head of business development and joined the company in January while Alexandre Duriez, who is co-head of investment management and research has been with the firm since May this year.
Bruno Poulin, chief executive at Ossiam, said: "The admission to partnerships is recognition of Duriez and Labbane being key members of our senior management team. Their experience and expertise strengthen Ossiam's capabilities for the firm's growth and development."
Duriez joined Ossiam from Barclays where he had been the managing director responsible for global investment strategy trading since 2009. Previously, he was with Merrill Lynch as head of fund-linked derivatives trading for five years and Société Générale Asset Management for three years.
Labbane spent most of his career at Credit Suisse, where he was global head of structuring for fund linked products and head of EMEA equity structuring. He established the bank's systematic investment strategies division in Europe, focusing on smart beta and risk premia indices.
