Ultumus has appointed Oliver Payne as product strategist from UBS.
Payne (pictured) will be responsible for helping the group grow its COSMOS, PCF Calculation and ETF data feeds.
Prior to this, he spent 13 years at UBS, leaving as head of ETF trading for EMEA.
Payne began his career at UBS in an ETF and index swap trading role, where he held the role for over eight years.
Bernie Thurston, CEO of Ultumus, said, “We wanted to bring additional direct ETF trading experience to assist our client base in the AP, market maker and ETF issuer space as our COSMOS, PCF Calculation and ETF data feeds continue to grow.”
Other recent hires in Ultumus’ product team came in January last year, when the firm hired Matthew Knapman as head of ETF product and COSMOS, before he departed the role in May 2024.
Elsewhere, Ultumus partnered with data management company NeoXam to consolidate data feeds for ETFs amid increased demand for more “sophisticated” ETF and index data.
It also partnered with Calastone to “streamline” the ETF creation-redemption process for asset servicers and ETF issuers In April.
