Cryptocurrency ETP provider CoinShares has appointed Frank Spiteri as its chief revenue officer (CRO).
Spiteri (pictured) will oversee CoinShares’ ETP business as well as cover the company’s broader sales, marketing and research efforts.
Prior to CoinShares, he served as managing director and head of European distribution at WisdomTree where he was involved with developing the firm’s European footprint and the integration of the ETF Securities business acquired in 2018.
Spiteri also held sales and trading roles at financial services firms including Peel Hunt, KBC Financial Products and Citigroup.
Driving CoinShare’s revenue-related functions, Spiteri joins CEO Jean-Marie Mognetti and CSO Meltem Demirors as part of the executive team.
Daniel Masters, chairman of CoinShares, said: "Under Spiteri’s leadership and guidance, we plan to accelerate the growth of our asset management arm, and build our status in the digital asset industry.”
CoinShares also expanded its ETP business in January having appointed former ETF Securities ETC head Townsend Lansing as head of product.
