Credit Suisse Asset Management has launched an environmental, social and governance (ESG) ETF that offers exposure to global stocks with a minimum volatility tilt.

The CSIF (IE) MSCI World ESG Leaders Minimum Volatility Blue UCITS ETF (CSY9) is listed on Deutsche Boerse and SIX Swiss with a total expense ratio (TER) of 0.25%.

CSY9 is comprised of large and medium-sized companies from 23 developed markets around the world that are in line with MSCI’s sustainability criteria.

Why has Credit Suisse re-entered the European ETF market?

Companies are selected on the basis of the minimum variance approach, choosing companies with low volatility and contribute to reducing the overall risk profile of the portfolio.

Additionally, companies with significant business in the fields of nuclear energy, tobacco, alcohol, gambling or weapons are excluded from the index.

The Swiss asset manager re-entered the European ETF market in March with an initial three-strong range which included the CSIF (IE) MSCI World ESG Leaders Blue UCITS ETF.

CSY9 is Credit Suisse AM’s six ETF available in Europe as the firm’s assets under management surpassed $2bn in June.
