DWS has expanded its exchange-traded commodities (ETC) range with the launch of a physically-backed silver product.

The Xtrackers IE Physical Silver ETC Securities (XSLR) is listed on the London Stock Exchange and Xetra with a total expense ratio (TER) of 0.38%.

XSLR is designed to track the spot price of silver minus fees which is achieved by holding London Bullion Market Association (LMBA) Good Delivery bars.

The ETC is 100% backed by physical silver meaning other silver exposure such as derivatives is not allowed.

Domiciled in Ireland, Jane Street and Flow Traders will be the primary market makers on the ETC.

European ETF issuers must follow US lead in calling for clarity on ETP classifications

XSLR is registered for sale in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
