Goldman Sachs AM hires EMEA ETF distribution head from State Street

Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) has appointed Rima Haddad as head of ETF distribution for EMEA from State Street Global Advisors.

Haddad spent four years in SSGA’s SPDR ETF division as head of UK institutional.

Prior to this, she was at ETF Securities for seven years between 2009 and 2016, most recently as head of UK institutional sales.

Haddad joined ETF Securities as head of Switzerland and Middle East where she was responsible for managing business development in the regions.

She began her career at Bloomberg in 2005, firstly in the Middle East and Greece sales team before moving to hedge fund sales in 2008.

GSAM entered the European ETF market in September 2019 with the launch of a US equity smart beta ETF, the Goldman Sachs ActiveBeta US Large Cap Equity UCITS ETF (GSLC).

The US giant currently offers four ETFs with $848m assets under management (AUM), as at 22 October.
