JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has promoted Americas ETF head Bryon Lake to global head of ETF solutions.

Lake (pictured) will replace Joanna Gallegos who spent eight years at the firm, most recently as head of global ETF strategy, however, he will take on expanded responsibilities including representing the firm with clients, the media and the industry.

In the newly created role, he will be responsible for leading the firm’s global ETF push, delivering new products and managing its existing ETF roster.

He will also work with the capital markets team alongside sales and marketing while ensuring the ETF product team is closely aligned with the wider asset management firm.

Lake joined JPMAM in 2017 as head of international ETFs where he was responsible for launching the firm’s European ETF business.

He held this role for three years before relocating to the US in January 2020 as head of Americas ETF client.

Prior to JPMAM, he worked at Invesco PowerShares where he was head of EMEA for four years between 2013 and 2017.

He will report to Jed Laskowitz, global head of asset management solutions at JPMAM.

Commenting on the promotion, Laskowitz said: “Under Bryon’s leadership, our US ETF assets have increased 20% annually since 2019, making us the country’s seventh-largest ETF provider and fourth-largest active ETF manager.

“His deep experience in the client-facing organization will inform his contributions to the overall business strategy going forward.”
