Smart beta ETF specialist Ossiam has made several senior hires across the business as it looks to integrate ESG further into its investment solutions.

Luc Dumontier has been appointed as head of investment and operations and will be responsible for developing the firm’s investment management platform.

He joined from La Francaise Investment Solutions where he was head of factor investing strategies and before this held roles at HSBC Asset management and Sinopia Asset Management.

Ossiam also appointed Frederic Bach at the end of last year who joined the business as head of ESG and responsible investment.

Previously, he has acted as an investment consultant for Hermes Investment Management and Ruffer and was a senior corporate governance and proxy voting specialist for Sustainalytics.

Ombeline Michallet has been appointed as a portfolio manager, having spent two years at PIMCO most recently as a portfolio associate.

Elsewhere, Antoine Tiago joined as director of business development for France, alongside Stephane Brunel and Maider Lasarte who also joined the group last year.

Last year the firm launched the world’s first actively-managed biodiversity food ETF, the Ossiam Food For Biodiversity UCITS ETF (F4DU).
