Tradeweb has hired former Amundi ETF sales analyst Cameron Williams as assistant vice president in equities sales and product management, six months after the French asset manager’s acquisition of Lyxor.
Williams joins Tradeweb having previously spent 18 months at Lyxor, prior to Amundi’s acquisition of its French rival.
He then spent six months as a sales analyst in Amundi’s ETF, indexing and smart beta sales team.
Prior to Lyxor, Williams spent over a year as a European economics research analyst at HSBC.
Amundi completed its €825m acquisition of Lyxor from Société Générale creating the second-largest ETF business in Europe in January this year.
Following the acquisition, Lyxor’s ETFs head Arnaud Llinas was appointed by Amundi to head up the combined ETF business.
Amundi’s previous head of ETF, indexing and smart beta Fannie Wurtz was promoted to head of distribution and wealth division in the passive and alternative business lines.
