London-based ETF data provider Ultumus has hired Femi Orangun as a solutions architect from IHS Markit.

Orangun (pictured) joins Ultumus’s index and ETF specialists team having left DeltaOne Solutions, an arm of IHS Markit, after 15 years. At DeltaOne Solutions, Orangun worked as a primary architect of benchmark feed platforms.

Being dubbed ‘Mr. Index’ following his years of experience within the industry, Orangun will assist Ultumus in the development of its data platform and production of advanced tooling following the company’s recent partnership with Velox Financial Technology.

This was one of several recent partnerships the company has completed, having also formed an alliance with cloud-based swaps trading programme Nuvo Primein March.

Orangun commented: "The role not only provides the opportunity to work with some of most experienced and talented individuals in the domain but also to work on the best and most modern data architecture, free from the legacy dependencies of other providers in the sector.

"This ultimately allows us to reliably deliver the solutions clients demand and evolve with their needs."
