ETF data service provider Ultumus has hired Jane Lemmon as global sales director from IHS Markit.

Effective 1 June, Lemmon (pictured) will be responsible for driving sales growth in key strategic markets across the firm’s ETF and index managed data solutions.

At IHS Markit, she spent the past four years as the firm’s global head of business development for its ETF and index data offering.

She joined IHS Markit as part of its acquisition of DeltaOne Solutions where she was responsible for running their sales operation in the US.

Commenting on the appointment, Bernie Thurston, CEO of Ultumus, said: “Jane will play an integral role in assisting customers in deploying our services while helping them efficiently and effectively integrate ETF and index data at scale into their operations.

“We look forward to working with Jane to help our customers turn their data management functions into a competitive differentiator.”

Lemmon added: “In a short time Ultumus has established itself as an innovation leader in the ETF and index managed data service space using the latest technology to deliver its solutions to the sell and buy-side.”

Ultumus has made a number of hires from IHS Markit over the years including Janet Richardson who joined as chief operating officer (COO) last March.
