Catharine Dwyer leads two teams in the Central Bank; one responsible for authorisation of investment firms (management companies, administrators and depositaries) and the second which is responsible for assessment of complex product proposals and quality assurance of QIAIFs. Prior to this she spent a number of years as a Senior Policy Advisor within the Central Bank. In this role she was responsible for development of Central Bank policy concerning investment funds and their service providers as well as taking a leading role advising on funds related legislative and policy developments. She regularly represents the Central Bank on various working groups both at European and international levels. Prior to joining the Central Bank, Catharine was a Consultant in an Irish law firm with a practice which materially focussed on ETFs.
