DWS has appointed former ETF Stream editor Tom Eckett to its ETF sales team covering London wealth managers.
Eckett has been named assistant vice president of passive coverage working within Xtrackers and will be responsible for growing the group's ETF sales across London.
He joined ETF Stream in 2019 as senior writer and was promoted to deputy editor in 2020 and editor in 2021.
Prior to this, he covered asset management at Investment Week, leaving the firm as senior asset management correspondent.
During Eckett’s time at ETF Stream, ETF Ecosystem Unwrapped has grown to Europe’s largest ETF event. He also helped to establish the ETF Buyer’s Club, Europe’s only community for professional ETF investors and launched the ETF Issuer Power Rankings earlier this year.
He was also named journalist of the year for passive investments at the State Street Institutional Press 2023 awards.
Following his departure, Theo Andrew was named editor of ETF Stream.
Since Eckett began covering ETFs in 2016, the market has expanded from $573bn assets under management to smashing the $2trn milestone in June this year.
