Morningstar has appointed former Vanguard and Amundi ETF sales specialist Liz Wright as head of index sales for EMEA.
In her new role, Wright will be responsible for leading the sales efforts across Morningstar Indexes and customisation services and will report to Amelia Furr, global head of sales.
It comes as the index provider looks to build on its European footprint following the acquisition of Moorgate Benchmarks last year.
Wright joins from Amundi, where she spent over three years as a senior salesperson in their ETF, index and smart beta team.
Prior to this, she spent a year and a half at Vanguard as a senior ETF sales specialist and also spent five years as a head of UK wealth and intermediaries at ETF Securities.
During her time at ETF Securities, she was responsible for educating and presenting the intermediary market to commodity exchange traded-products (ETPs) as an asset class and portfolio diversifier.
Wright also held roles at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management and UBS.
A Morningstar spokesperson said: “Liz joins Morningstar Indexes with a wealth of expertise in the European passive space, specifically the ETF market.
“We continue to make a very deliberate investment in our global footprint – with a special focus on Europe with our acquisition of Moorgate Benchmarks in 2021.”
