Indexing giant MSCI has named Robin Matlock as a new member of its board of directors from cloud computing provider VMware.
Matlock will bring her experience in marketing and technology to MSCI’s leadership team. She will also join the board’s governance and corporate responsibility committee.
Previously, Matlock spent almost 12 years at VMware across several leadership roles focusing on marketing.
Prior to that, she worked in the cybersecurity sector for 13 years at companies including McAfee, Imperva and Symantec.
She retains independent director and advisory roles across Dremio, Iron Mountain, Cohestity, Calamu Technologies and People.ai.
Following Matlock’s arrival, MSCI’s board has 11 directors.
Commenting on the move, MSCI CEO Henry Fernandez said: “The expertise that Robin will bring to our board in the areas of go-to-market and marketing strategy, client insight and technological innovation will further expand our board’s breadth of talent and underscore MSCI’s commitment to complete client-centricity.”
Matlock becomes the firm’s latest senior appointment after it named Remy Briand as chief product officer and head of index in January.
