Valour has expanded its range of exchange-traded products (ETPs) with the launch of an ETP tracking ‘blue chip’ digital assets.
The 1Valour STOXX Bitcoin Suisse Digital Asset Blue Chip ETP (BCXI) is listed on the Deutsche Boerse with a total expense ratio (TER) of 1.90%.
BCXI tracks the STOXX Digital Asset Blue Chip X index comprised of the nine ‘blue chip’ cryptocurrencies, taking into account quality, activity, robustness and financial strength.
BCXI comprises of bitcoin, ethereum, cardano, ripple, polygon, cosmos, chainlink, aave and tron.
The index follows a market cap weighting methodology, capped at 30%, and is physically backed by the underlying assets.
Bitcoin and ethereum are currently capped at 30%, followed by ripple which has a 17% weighting.
It is the latest launch from the Swiss-based issuer after it unveiled the 1Valour Internet Computer Physical Staking (1VIC) and the Valour Ripple ETP (XRP) last month.
It takes Valour’s product offering to 16, including its other multi-asset crypto product, the Valour Digital Asset Basket 10 ETP (VDAB10) which launched in 2022.
