WisdomTree has expanded its Article 9 ETF range with the launch of a global sustainable equity ETF.
The WisdomTree Global Sustainable Equity UCITS ETF (WSDG) is listed on Deutsche Boerse with a total expense ratio (TER) of 0.29%. WSDG will list on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) on 12 June.
Developed with Irish Life Investment Managers, WSDG tracks the Solactive WisdomTree Global Sustainable Equity UCITS index which offers exposure to 106 companies from developed markets that contribute to social and environmental objectives.
The objectives are set through sustainability criteria using 11 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework.
The index is rebalanced semi-annually in May and November.
Alexis Marinof (pictured), head of Europe at WisdomTree, said:” WSDG provides a differentiated approach to global developed market equities by integrating 11 of the 17 SDGs in the investment process.”
Nicholas MacShane, head of European partnerships at ILIM, added: “Leveraging our expertise in indexation, quantitative research and responsible investing, this collaboration with WisdomTree builds on our reputation for creating customised solutions that help clients meet their sustainability goals.”
WSDG is WisdomTree’s third Article 9 ETF following the launches of the WisdomTree Renewable Energy UCITS ETF (WRNW) in June 2023 and the WisdomTree Recycling Decarbonisation UCITS ETF (WRCY) in April 2022.
Elsewhere, WisdomTree received approval from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to list its bitcoin and ethereum exchange-traded products on the LSE in May.
