JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has expanded its Nordic ETF sales team with the appointment of Erkki Rusi, ETF Stream can reveal.

Based in Stockholm, he will take on the role of ETF client advisor and will be responsible for expanding the firm’s presence in the region.

Rusi will report to Travis Spence, newly appointed global head of ETFs at the group.

He has over 17 years financial experience and joins from Barclays where he was responsible for derivative solutions sales to Nordic institutional clients since 2021.

Prior to this, he held senior derivatives roles with both Danske Bank and UBS Investment Bank.

JPMAM declined to comment on the hire.

It comes as Spence was promoted to global head of ETFs last month, reporting to CIO and global head of asset management solutions Jed Laskowitz.

His promotion follows the departure of former global ETF head Bryon Lake for Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) in May after former GSAM ETF head Mike Crinieri left the firm earlier this year.
