Evelyn Partners head of multi-asset Ben Seager-Scott is set to join Mazars as CIO.

Seager-Scott (pictured), who is a member of ETF Stream’s ETF Buyers Club, will take on the role in the spring, replacing David Baker who has spent over two decades at Mazars, 11 of which as CIO.

Baker will remain at the firm as a partner, the group confirmed.

Seager-Scott has been head of multi-asset at Evelyn Partners for almost five years and is responsible for the oversight of its £7bn fund of funds range and new launches in its sustainable and passive investment ranges, as well as specialising in ETF research.

Prior to this, he spent eight years at Tilney before its merger with Smith & Williamson in 2019 – most recently as chief investment strategist – before the two companies rebranded to Evelyn Partners.

He also worked for three years at Whitechurch Securities and is now a non-executive director at the group.

Evelyn Partners said a decision on reallocating Seager-Scott’s responsibilities will be made in due course.

Mazar’s is a national advice business and also holds an audit, tax and advisory services arm.
