HSBC Asset Management has appointed Isabelle Bourcier as CEO of its French business from BNP Paribas Asset Management.
Effective 21 March, Bourcier will be responsible for growing the firm’s French operations and developing its franchise across continental Europe.
She joins having recently departed BNPP AM, where she spent six years as head of its ETF and then quantitative and index divisions.
At BNPP AM, Bourcier was responsible for the launch of a series of Paris-Aligned Benchmark (PAB) ETFs, thematic ESG products and overhauled a series of ETFs to tracking ESG indices.
Prior to this, she spent nearly five years as head of business development at Ossiam, following eleven years helping to build out the ETF franchise of Lyxor Asset Management after it launched in 2000.
In her new role, Bourcier will report to Thomas Vandeville, CEO of retail banking France and Thorsten Michalik, global head of wholesale and partnerships at HSBC AM.
She will replace incumbent CEO of HSBC AM’s French business, Matteo Pardi, who becomes head of international markets from mid-2022.
In his new capacity, Pardi will focus on revenue growth plans and increasing connectivity between HSBC AM and global network markets and Eastern international markets.
He will report to Nicolas Moreau CEO, HSBC AM.
