Invesco has expanded its UK ETF sales team with the appointment of Tom Banks from HSBC Asset Management where he spent just seven months.
Reporting to Kate Dwyer, head of UK ETF coverage at Invesco, Banks (pictured) will be responsible for distributing the firm’s ETF range to the UK wealth market.
Banks joined HSBC AM in the UK ETF sales team in June 2021 from JP Morgan Asset Management where he spent six years, most recently also in UK ETF sales.
Commenting on his appointment, Dwyer said: “We are delighted to have someone of Tom’s calibre join our growing team and help meet the demand from the UK wealth sector for our suite of ETFs.
“We have seen strong growth across asset classes and product types and expect further demand as the underlying strengths of our ETFs and ETPs have continued to attract greater numbers of investors.”
The move follows the appointment of Stephanie Boukhalil to the UK ETF distribution team last year. Boukhalil will support growth in the family office market having held roles at JP Morgan and Société Générale.
Last March, HSBC AM raided Invesco’s ETF team to hire Dominic Clabby as its new head of ETF strategy.
