Franklin Templeton has hired Martin Bechtloff and Lotfi Ladjemi as senior ETF sales specialists from HSBC Asset Management and Tabula, respectively.

Based in Dusseldorf, Bechtloff (pictured left) will be responsible for covering the German and Austrian markets while Ladjemi (pictured right) will be based in London covering the UK and Ireland.

Both will report to Caroline Baron, head of business development, ETFs, EMEA, at Franklin Templeton.

Prior to joining Franklin, Bechtloff spent three-and-a-half years as a sales manager at HSBC AM, covering clients such as asset managers, banks and financial advisers.

Previously, he worked as a product manager at moneymeets, where he was responsible for custody accounts, social trading and robo-advisory.

Ladjemi has held a number of sales-related roles in asset management, including almost four years as head of UK and Irish coverage at Tabula Investment Management and senior sales director for UK and Switzerland at Amundi.

Baron commented: “We recognise these sophisticated markets require dedicated ETF specialists with in-depth market knowledge and we are committed to investing in talent to help us meet complex and evolving client needs.”

The two appointments are just the latest in region-specific sales hires for the ETF issuer. In May, the US giant hired Guillaume Dambrine as senior ETF sales specialist for France while Silvia Anselmi was appointed ETF sales specialist in Italy in February.
