HANetf has appointed former Woodford Investment Management head of sales Simon Dale to lead its active ETF push.
In his role as head of sales, Dale (pictured) will be responsible for implementing and driving the ETF issuer’s sales strategy across Europe.
In particular, he will focus on growing HANetf’s active ETF offering and further automating the sales process.
Dale joined Woodford IM in March 2014, the firm that was founded by star fund manager Neil Woodford following his departure from Invesco, where Dale also worked.
Woodford IM unceremoniously collapsed in 2019 after it was forced to suspend and liquidate the Woodford Equity Income fund following significant redemptions.
Dale has also held roles at Matthews Asia between 2013 and 2014 and Invesco between 1996 and 2013.
Liam Wyatt has joined as a content manager and investment writer and Ramon Williams as an operations analyst.
Hector McNeil, co-CEO of HANetf, said: “HANetf currently has a pipeline of 15 ETF launches planned for later this year.
“Simon, Liam and Ramon bring a huge amount of experience, which we will use to further enhance our distribution and product strategy and growth.”
These new hires follow the high-profile appointment of Manooj Mistry as the firm’s chief operating officer (COO) in February.
