Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) has hired Chirag Pandya as head of ETF capital markets EMEA for FlexShares from Vanguard.
Based in London, Pandya will report to Dan Madden, global head of ETF capital markets and will be responsible for engaging with authorised participants, assisting the internal sales team and developing the FlexShares ETF offering.
At Vanguard, he spent over 10 years working in the ETF capital markets division.
He joined Vanguard from BlackRock where he worked in the iShares ETF sales and business development team.
Pandya replaces Jean-Baptiste Faure who left NTAM after two years in May to become head of ETF capital markets for EMEA at PIMCO.
Faure entered the firm after eight years in capital markets roles at Candriam and ETF Securities.
NTAM is still in the early stages of its ETF roll-out this side of the pond, having entered the European market in March 2021.
The firm has launched five ETFs including four factor ESG strategies and a listed private equity product, the FlexShares Listed Private Equity UCITS ETF (FLPE), which listed in December 2021.
